Dizzy and disoriented, he awoke to a cold splash of water in his face. Gasping in a lungfull of dank air, Samson tried to open his eyes. The sharp, stabbing pain brought back all the memories from the night before. Slowly, fearing what he would find, he reached his hands to his face.
It hadn’t been a dream. His eyes were gone and his head shaved clean. It really had happened, then.
“Get up, you lazy Hebrew!” Samson felt strong hands pick him up to his feet. “Samson the mighty!? Bah!”
